Eleventh International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management

McLean, VA (near Washington, DC)
November 4-9, 2002

Sponsored by ACM SIGIR and ACM SIGMIS

The Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (CIKM) provides an international forum for presentation and discussion of research on information and knowledge management, as well as recent advances on data and knowledge bases. The purpose of the conference is to identify challenging problems facing the development of future knowledge and information systems, and to shape future directions of research by soliciting and reviewing high quality, applied and theoretical research findings.

The Preliminary Call for Papers is available in PDF format.

The CIKM 2002 Technical Program will take place on Tuesday, November 5 through Thursday, November 7. The program will feature parallel technical sessions, panels, and keynote addresses.

We expect to offer tutorials on topics in information retrieval, software agents, and mobile systems. This year's Tutorials Chair is Professor Il-Yeol Song.

We also expect to host these four companion meetings. This year's Workshops Chair is Dr. Scott Cost.
